Piraeus

Piraeus is Athens' gateway to the sea and the largest port in Greece. The port economy runs year-round on passenger, cruise and container traffic. Metro Line 3 links the harbour to the city centre and the airport without a change; Line 1 heads north via Neo Faliro. Pasalimani, Mikrolimano and Kastella are the prestige micro-areas with sea views, while Nikaia, Keratsini and Kaminia offer the most accessible entry prices. Tenants come from the maritime and port workforce, students of the University of Piraeus, and short-stay guests heading for the islands.

Piraeus station is the terminus of Line 3, putting the city centre and the airport a single ride away. Line 1 and the suburban rail also depart from the port.

Marina and seafront

Pasalimani (Zea Marina), the fishing harbour of Mikrolimano and the Kastella hillside offer life with sea views; the Neo Faliro seafront opens onto the Riviera.

University and port population

The University of Piraeus and the maritime sector form the backbone of long-term rental demand; ferry traffic to the islands adds short-stay demand.
